ANDERSON, South Carolina — An Atlanta man has been charged in the slaying last month of a clerk at a South Carolina convenience store off Interstate 85.

Anderson County Sheriff John Skipper announced Wednesday that a Crime Stoppers tip resulted in the arrest of 25-year-old Justin Jamel Warner.

He is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime stemming from the April 30 slaying of 59-year-old Mradulaben Patel at a store in Powdersville.

The shooting was captured on surveillance video and the tip came from someone who saw the video aired on local media.

Warner is in the Clayton County Detention Center in Georgia. It was not known if he had an attorney.
