1 dies, 3 escape late night house fire in Kiln

KILN, Mississippi — Hancock County officials say a man died in a late night house fire.

Hancock County Sheriff's Department Investigator Glenn Grannon said the fire started around 11:30 p.m. Friday in Kiln.

Hancock Coroner Jim Faulk said 52-year-old Andrew Jackson Ellis was killed. Grannon said three people escaped the blaze.

The cause of the fire was under investigation. Faulk said an autopsy on Ellis is planned for Sunday.
