2 men arrested and charged in shooting death at Greensboro apartment complex

GREENSBORO, North Carolina — Police have arrested two men in the shooting death last week of a man at a Greensboro apartment complex.

The News & Record of Greensboro reported (http://bit.ly/11EEIqJ) that 28-year-old Jovon Derell Clarke and 35-year-9old Charles Deane Pierce were arrested Wednesday and charged with murder degree murder.

Police say 28-year-old Michael Thomas McLaurin was shot April 24 at his apartment, which was next to the building where Clarke and Pierce were living.

Clarke also is charged with possession of marijuana and simple possession of a controlled substance.

Pierce also is charged with failure to appear in court.

Police have not determined a motive.

It was not clear if the men have attorneys.
