Getafe knocks Eibar out of Copa del Rey, joins Espanyol and Levante in last 16

BARCELONA, Spain — Getafe scored twice in the first half to win 2-1 at Eibar and advance 5-1 on aggregate to the last 16 of the Copa del Rey on Wednesday.

Espanyol and Levante joined Getafe after winning their round-of-32 ties against lower-division opponents.

Getafe's goals came from Carlos Vigaray in the 22nd minute and Diego Castro in the 35th, before Eibar's Federico Piovaccari pulled one back from the penalty spot in the 54th after Emiliano Velazquez fouled him.

Espanyol eliminated Alaves with a 1-0 victory after Jairo Morilla's 65th-minute goal to advance 3-0 on aggregate.

Levante drew 0-0 at home with Albacete, but progressed on away goals from its 1-1 first-leg win.

Later, Real Sociedad, Villarreal and Granada all face second legs against lower-division opponents.
