NEW IBERIA, Louisiana — State police say a two-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 14 has claimed the life of a 42-year-old Jeanerette man.

Master Trooper Brooks David says Michael Dooley of New Iberia was traveling west on Highway 14 Monday night when he turned left into the path of a motorcycle.

He says the driver of the motorcycle, Berwick Rhine Jr, struck the side of Dooley's pickup and was thrown from the motorcycle during the crash.

David said Rhine was pronounced dead on scene.

This crash remains under investigation.
