NEW YORK — Five firefighters were hurt battling a 3-alarm fire on Staten Island.
Officials say the blaze began about 9 p.m. Monday in a house on Sinclair Avenue.
It took more than 100 firefighters to bring the fire under control about an hour later.
WABC-TV (http://7ny.tv/1SUUhZl ) reports one of the firefighters fell through a floor and was seriously injured.
The other four firefighters suffered minor injuries.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
