INDIANAPOLIS — A man convicted of fatally shooting a pizza delivery driver during a robbery at an Indianapolis apartment complex has been sentenced to 65 years in prison.

Twenty-seven-year-old Shawn Wilson proclaimed his innocence during Friday's sentencing for his murder conviction in the January killing of 30-year-old Daniel Jaffke.

WRTV reports (http://bit.ly/1tLlPm5 ) Jaffke's father, Thomas Jaffke, asked the Marion Superior Court judge for the maximum sentence for his son's convicted killer.

Jaffke was a 2003 Whiteland High School graduate and a singer and guitarist with several local bands. His mother, Donna Jaffke, told the court she intends to send Wilson a copy of her son's music while he is in prison.

Jaffke was slain and robbed Jan. 31 after he delivered a pizza to a customer at the Capital Place Apartments.
