Cold Case: Police charge man in 2013 Southern Pines shooting death

SOUTHERN PINES, North Carolina — Authorities in Moore County have made an arrest in a cold case slaying.

Area media outlets report that police on Thursday charged a Southern Pines man with murder in the shooting death of 26-year-old Sean Jeremy McLean, also of Southern Pines, in July of last year.

Southern Pines police say that 27-year-old Martaveous Donta Kelly is also charged with conspiring to commit murder.

McLean was found shot several times in his vehicle in Southern Pines.

It was not immediately known if Kelly had an attorney.
