Vicki's Dancer, Readthebyline capture Big A's Stallion Stakes

NEW YORK — Vicki's Dancer and Readthebyline won the $125,000 New York Stallion Stakes on Saturday at Aqueduct.

Vicki's Dancer took the filly division by 1 1/4 lengths over Saythreehailmary's in 1:25.12 for the seven furlongs. The 5-year-old ridden by Irad Ortiz, Jr. and trained by Rudy Rodriguez improved to 6 for 26. She paid $8.60 to win.

Readthebyline posted a front-running victory in the open division, beating West Hill Giant by 2 3/4 lengths. Jose Ortiz, Irad's brother, guided the 5-year-old gelding trained by Michelle Nevin to his seventh win in 35 starts. He paid $13 to win. The time was 1:23.85.
