St. ALBANS, Vermont — Vermont police have charged a 45-year-old man with aggravated assault after they say he fired a muzzle-loader at another man's residence — prompting police to briefly shut down Route 105 in St. Albans.
Forty-five-year-old Daniel Levesque of St. Albans was charged with aggravated assault after the 6 p.m. shooting Friday.
Vermont state police say Levesque fired at the Highgate Road home of 56-year-old William Marshall in Highgate. Police did not say whether the two men know each other. Marshall was not injured.
Levesque is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in Franklin Superior Court Monday.
