CONCORD, New Hampshire — The nation's only president from New Hampshire is being remembered in honor of his 210th birthday.

Franklin Pierce will be honored in Old North Cemetery in Concord on Tuesday. The New Hampshire Army National Guard is laying a wreath at the 14th president's gravesite at 10 a.m. Students from the Christa McAuliffe School and the Governor's Horse Guard will also be on hand.

The White House sends the wreath every year to mark the president's date of birth and contributions serving in the country's highest office. Pierce was president from 1853 to 1857. His actual birthdate is Nov. 23.

The public is invited to the Pierce Manse in Concord for refreshments after the ceremony. The Pierce Brigade, an organization dedicated to preserving the president's home and legacy, is hosting.
