Biloxi man prosecuted as habitual offender ordered to serve 25 years for burglary

BILOXI, Mississippi — A 52-year-old man prosecuted as a habitual offender has been ordered to serve 25 years for burglarizing a Biloxi home.

The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1rb3UGw ) Judge Roger Clark sentenced Gregory James Woods, of Biloxi, after a jury found him guilty Wednesday in Harrison County Circuit Court.

District Attorney Joel Smith says Woods, a four-time felon with robbery and burglary convictions, will not be eligible for early release or parole. Those convictions also occurred in Harrison County.

The jury deliberated about 30 minutes.
