Police say 20-month-old Danville child's death was homicide

DANVILLE, Virginia — The death of a 20-month-old Danville child has been ruled as a homicide.

The Danville Police Department says in a news release that an autopsy determined the cause of death was blunt force trauma.

Police identified the child as Aleigha Grace Sadler.

Police say the child was taken to a hospital in Danville last Thursday night and died Sunday at a hospital in Roanoke.

No arrests have been made. The investigation is continuing.
