ROCHESTER, New York — Two men involved in the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old boy have pleaded guilty to manslaughter charges.

Monroe County prosecutors say 23-year-old Taiquan Elmore and 19-year-old Pedro Diaz entered the pleas during separate court appearances in Rochester on Thursday.

They're expected to receive 20-year prison terms when they're sentenced in April.

Prosecutors say Elmore and Diaz killed Tysean Williams in November 2013 when he confronted them as they forced their way into his grandmother's house.

The grandmother said after the shooting that Tysean, a high school honor student, was protecting her when he was killed.
