Passenger levels at Rhode Island's TF Green Airport fall in July; cargo up 10 percent

WARWICK, Rhode Island — Rhode Island's T.F. Green Airport reported fewer passengers in July than in the same period a year ago.

The Rhode Island Airport Corporation released numbers showing that passenger traffic fell just under 3 percent in July compared with the previous July.

It said 346,416 people flew into or out of the airport in Warwick that month, compared with 356,974 a year earlier.

So far this year, passenger traffic at T.F. Green has fallen more than 6 percent, to 2,061,374 passengers, from the same period in 2013.

Cargo was up more than 10 percent in July, compared to a year ago. For the year, it's up 4 percent
