TUCSON, Arizona — Authorities say Tucson police have shot and killed a woman holding a gun and shot another man after the woman called 911 and said she was going to commit suicide.

Police said the woman was shot early Saturday outside a Tucson home by three Tucson officers.

According to police, officers arrived to the house shortly after the 911 call and found a woman with the gun outside the home. Police said a man was standing next to her.

The woman, whose name has not been released, was shot after officers spoke with her. She was transported to a nearby hospital where she later died.

The man, whose name was also not released, was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Internal Affairs detectives are conducting an investigation.
