Urbana man federally charged with sexual exploitation of minor, child pornography possession

URBANA, Illinois — Federal authorities have charged an Urbana man with sexual exploitation of a minor and possessing child pornography.

The (Champaign) News-Gazette reports (http://bit.ly/111nRVb ) a grand jury indicted 38-year-old Talon Wright this week in Springfield. Authorities say Wright coerced a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct in 2011 and 2012 to create pornographic images. They say he possessed computer devices containing child pornography in August.

Wright faces up to 30 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 if convicted of sexual exploitation. He faces up to 10 years in prison and the same fine if convicted of child pornography.

A message seeking comment was left with Wright's public defender Friday afternoon.
