LAS VEGAS — Airport officials in Las Vegas say McCarran International Airport handled nearly 3.6 million passengers in April.
That's up 2.7 percent compared with the same month one year ago.
McCarran officials said Thursday that traffic at the primary airport servicing Sin City is up 3 percent through the first four months of the year.
Allegiant Air continues posting the largest year-over-year increases by percentage. Nearly 26 percent more passengers used the airline in Las Vegas in April compared with the same month last year.
Traffic for Southwest Airlines was up nearly 2 percent. Southwest is the airport's largest carrier.
Traffic on Delta flights was down 9 percent, and traffic for American was down 10 percent.
Officials say the airport handled 13.5 million passengers between January and April.
