SANTA BARBARA, California — Michael Bryson scored 23 points as UC Santa Barbara beat Cal State Fullerton 68-49 on Saturday night.

John Green added 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Gouchos (10-9, 3-2 Big West Conference) and Eric Childress had 11.

After a close first half, Cal State Fullerton pulled ahead on a 10-4 run to end the period with a 36-31 lead.

The Gouchos came back after trailing 40-38 early in the second period on an 8-0 run featuring 3-pointers by Bryson and Mitch Brewe to lead 46-40 with 13:20 to play. The Titans (8-12, 0-5) scored just nine more points in the game after that — and not a single point in the final three minutes — allowing the Gouchos to pull far ahead and cruise to the win.

Lanerryl Johnson led Cal State Fullerton with 21 points. The Titans have now lost five-straight games in conference.
