BATON ROUGE, Louisiana — A federal magistrate has ruled that a 46-year-old Baton Rouge man who allegedly wanted to turn a 5- to 6-year-old girl into his sex slave will remain in federal custody until a child pornography charge is resolved.

The Advocate reports (http://bit.ly/1OE2U62) Pierre Moosebroker Jr. did not object Wednesday to U.S. Magistrate Richard Bourgeois Jr.'s granting of the government's detention request.

But Moosebroker and his attorney, Wayne Blanchard, did complain to Bourgeois that Moosebroker has been threatened by a cellmate at the Ascension Parish jail in Donaldsonville.

Blanchard argued that Moosebroker needs to be placed in protective custody, in a cell by himself.

Moosebroker was indicted by a Baton Rouge federal grand jury March 25 on a charge of possession of child pornography. He pleaded not guilty Wednesday.
