Timberwolves PG Ricky Rubio hampered by hamstring issue early in comeback from ankle surgery

MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Timberwolves have listed point guard Ricky Rubio as questionable for Sunday's game against Memphis with a mild left hamstring strain.

Rubio has missed the previous three games with the injury, an expected setback as works his way back from offseason ankle surgery. Rubio only played 22 games last season because of the badly injured ankle, and the Wolves expected him to face some nagging muscle pulls and strains early in the season.

When he has been on the floor, Rubio has made a huge impact. The Timberwolves are 4-2 with him and 0-3 without him. He is averaging 13.0 points and 9.0 assists.

Oklahoma City star Kevin Durant is experiencing a similarly painful comeback from a foot injury. He also strained his left hamstring last week.
