BISMARCK, North Dakota — A Bismarck man accused of firing a gun into a neighboring apartment has been sentenced to a year in prison.

Twenty-four-year-old Christopher Wise Spirit pleaded guilty to felony charges of reckless endangerment and possession of a prohibited firearm. He is barred from owning or possessing a gun because he is a convicted felon.

The Bismarck Tribune reports (http://bitly.com/1nEvLh0) that the charges stem from a June 12 incident. Police say the bullet damaged a cupboard and some patio door blinds in the neighboring apartment.

Wise Spirit's lawyer was not available for comment.
