EL RENO, Oklahoma — Federal prison officials say an inmate has walked away from a minimum-security prison camp in El Reno.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons says inmate Ruben Galvan was discovered missing Monday afternoon from the Satellite Prison Camp in El Reno. Officials say an internal investigation into the walkaway is underway, and the U.S. Marshals Service and local law enforcement agencies have been notified.

Galvan was serving a 140-month sentence out of Texas on federal methamphetamine charges.

Galvan is described as a 34-year-old white man, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 180 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to call the U.S. Marshals Service.

The Satellite Prison Camp in El Reno is a minimum security camp that holds about 250 offenders.
