ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Anchorage Police want help finding a driver who struck a man on a bicycle, fracturing his leg.

The accident occurred at about 11:45 a.m. Friday.

Police say a large, dark sport utility vehicle, possible a Suburban, Tahoe or Yukon, drove from Chugach Way onto Spenard Road and struck the biker.

The driver stopped briefly, ran over the bike and fled at high speed.

The SUV had tinted windows and large, black, aftermarket wheels.

Witnesses say the driver was an older, Caucasian man, possibly with gray hair.
