Body found by firefighters in Syracuse house after early-morning fire; 5 firefighters hurt

SYRACUSE, New York — One person has died and five firefighters were treated for injuries after an early-morning fire at a two-family home in Syracuse.

Police say a body was found inside the home but haven't identified the person.

The fire broke out at 4 a.m. Sunday. Police and fire investigators are trying to determine the cause.
