AUGUSTA, Georgia — Authorities say three people have been charged in the shooting death of a South Carolina man last week.
The Augusta Chronicle reports (http://bit.ly/1L4Qbcs ) that 24-year-old Christopher Barry, 24-year-old Samantha Griffin and 25-year-old Kameron Reese are charged in the death of Cordeldrick Laquinn Brooks.
Police discovered the body of the 27-year-old Brooks on Sept. 22. The three were charged with murder, armed robbery, kidnapping and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Reese was also charged with unlawful street gang activity.
The warrant says Brooks was shot twice in the body after trying to escape the three, who initially forced him to drive to an ATM to withdraw cash.
Reese and Griffin are being held in the Richmond County jail. Barry turned himself in on Tuesday.
