Baker woman indicted in January shooting death of another woman

BATON ROUGE, La. — A Baker woman has been indicted in the January shooting death of another woman.

The Advocate reports (http://bit.ly/I75U6X ) an East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury charged 38-year-old Kolande Williams with second-degree murder Wednesday in the death of 31-year-old Kimberly Stewart.

Police Chief Mike Knaps has said an argument between the two women lead to the shooting.

A second-degree murder conviction carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison.
