MENDENDHALL, Mississippi — The Simpson County Sheriff's Department says two people, including a granddaughter of the victim, are charged with capital murder in the fatal stabbing of a 64-year-old woman.

Kendrayla Keys and Cutrell Smith Varnado, both of Hattiesburg, were arrested late Sunday and are being held Monday at the Simpson County Adult Detention Center. It was not immediately clear whether they have attorneys.

Neoma Durr was found dead Friday in her home near Magee. She had been bound and gagged.

Simpson County Sheriff Kenneth Lewis said two suspects ran out of the home when Durr's husband arrived and found his wife's body.
