Panathinaikos comes from behind to beat host Platanias 3-2 in Greek league

ATHENS, Greece — Nikos Karelis, Thanassis Dinas and team captain Zeca scored for Panathinaikos in a 3-2 away victory over Platanias in the Greek league Sunday.

Ousmane Coulibaly and David Torres scored Platanias' goals.

Panathinaikos took the lead when Karelis scored in the 10th minute, but Coulibaly equalized four minutes later and Torres gave the hosts the lead in the 50th.

Two minutes later, Dinas made it 2-2 and Zeca scored the winner in the 69th.

The win brought Panathinaikos into a five-way tie for third place, three points behind Olympiakos and one behind Veria.

Also, Asteras beat Kalloni 1-0, Panthrakikos beat Panionios 1-0, Kerkyra defeated Giannena 2-0, and Ergotelis won 4-1 at last-place Niki Volos.

PAOK travels to Panetolikos Monday, seeking a win that put it level with Olympiakos at the top.
