Reed's 24, Jones' first-half surge helps Robert Morris handle Sacred Heart 85-65

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pennsylvania — Marcquise Reed scored 24 points, Lucky Jones had 18 of his 22 in the first half and Robert Morris moved past Sacred Heart for an 85-65 victory on Sunday.

Rodney Pryor added 15 points and Jones grabbed 11 rebounds for the Colonials (8-10, 4-2 Northeast Conference), who shot 54.7 percent from the field. Reed was 10 of 16 from the floor and had six rebounds with five assists.

De'von Barnett paced Sacred Heart (7-12, 1-5) with 21 points, Steve Glowiak added 12 and Phil Gaetano dished out seven assists. The Pioneers went just 8 of 23 from the line and have dropped eight of their last nine games.

Jones keyed a surge in the first half, hitting all five of his 3-point attempts, the fifth giving Robert Morris a 15-point lead. Sacred Heart pulled within six in the second half, but the Colonials countered with a 15-3 run.
