GOOSE CREEK, South Carolina — Berkeley County officials say a Goose Creek man has died after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver.

Coroner Bill Salisbury told local media outlets that 26-year-old Anthony Robert Missouri was crossing a street when he was struck around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Missouri was pronounced dead at a local hospital about half an hour later.

Salisbury says his office and Goose Creek police are investigating.

Police have not released any information about the vehicle that hit Missouri.
