Columbus Blue Jackets sign 2011 draft pick, goalie Anton Forsberg, to 3-year contract

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed goaltender Anton Forsberg to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Columbus' sixth pick, 188th overall, in the 2011 draft, Forsberg appeared in 33 games with Sodertalje of Sweden's HockeyAllsvenskan in 2012-13. He won 24 games while finishing second in the league with a 2.04 goals-against average and .933 save percentage.

The 6-foot-2, 176-pounder played in 14 games with MODO of the Swedish Elite League in 2011-12 and had a 3.15 goals-against average and .897 save percentage.

The Swede represented his country at the 2012 IIHF World Junior Championships, helping Sweden earn the second gold medal in national history at the event.
