4-year-old Rochester girl killed in car crash; 3 others injured

ROCHESTER, New York — State police are investigating a car accident that took the life of a 4-year-old Rochester girl.

Troopers say the girl's mother, Juliana Rivera, was driving eastbound on Route 104 when she crossed the median and struck a pickup truck heading west just before daybreak Tuesday.

Troopers say Rivera's two daughters were in the back seat in booster seats, but 4-year-old Marializ Rivera did not survive.

The mother remains in guarded condition at Strong Memorial Hospital, while her 3-year-old daughter is suffering from what troopers describe as "serious injuries."

The driver of the truck, 43-year-old Daniel Robinson of Webster, was listed in satisfactory condition on Tuesday evening at Rochester General Hospital.
