KALAMAZOO, Michigan — Julius Brown had 19 points and six assists and all starters scored in double figures to lead Toledo to a 97-87 win over Western Michigan on Saturday.

J.D. Weatherspoon scored 17 points and grabbed five rebounds, Justin Drummond had 16, six boards and four assists, Nathan Boothe added 15 points and five and Jonathan Williams pitched in 12 for the Rockets (18-9, 10-4 Mid-American). Toledo shot 60 percent from the field.

Thomas Wilder finished with a career-high 34 points on 10-of-12 shooting and David Brown hit five 3s as a part of his 29 points for Western Michigan (16-11, 7-7). Wilder's previous career-high was 16.

Western Michigan brought the deficit within eight after two Wilder free throws with 4:31 left, but a 13-4 Rockets run fueled by eight from Brown put the game out of reach.
