Dortmund defender Hummels a doubt for Champions League final, better looking for Goetze

DORTMUND, Germany — Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels is doubtful for the Champions League final but midfielder Mario Goetze is continuing his recovery from injury.

Dortmund, which plays Bayern Munich in an all-German final at Wembley next Saturday, says Goetze is due to resume team training on Tuesday and that it looks "quite good" for the 20-year-old.

Goetze is recovering from a left hamstring tear sustained in the return leg of the semifinal against Real Madrid.

Hummels faces a race against time, however, after limping out of Dortmund's 2-1 Bundesliga loss at home to Hoffenheim with an ankle injury.

Dortmund coach Juergen Klopp says, "there's a chance for Wembley but it will be close."

Hummels missed the German Cup game against his former side with flu in February.
