Suspect charged with hitting, killing man with car in Colorado Springs pleads not guilty


COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado — A 26-year-old man suspected of hitting and killing a man with his car in the parking lot of a Colorado Springs club has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder.

Cordero Collins is charged in the March 2010 death of 32-year-old Tyrone Lyles, whose body was found outside of the Union Station club after a disturbance. The Gazette reports ( ) Collins was linked to the murder in February while serving time in prison on unrelated charges.

A motions hearing has been set for October.
