MIAMI — Authorities say police fatally shot a suspect in a South Florida armored truck robbery.

Miramar police say two officers were checking an address Wednesday connected to a car suspected of being involved in the robbery, which had occurred elsewhere in Miami-Dade County. When the officers spotted the car and tried to pull it over, police say the driver fled.

A high-speed chase ensued, ending in Liberty City, where authorities say at least one suspect fired at police. Officers shot and killed one suspect and placed another under arrest. No officers were injured.

The Miami Herald (http://goo.gl/byFWEF ) reports that Miami police are investigating the shooting.

The names of the suspects and the officers involved weren't immediately released.
