Gas prices fall 6.5 cents a gallon in Maine to $3.31; 10 cents higher than national average

PORTLAND, Maine — Gas prices fell 6.5 cents per gallon in the past week in Maine to $3.31.

GasBuddy.com, which surveyed 1,228 gas stations in Maine, reports the average price of a gallon of gas on Monday is down 19.1 cents per gallon compared to a year ago and 19.3 cents per gallon compared to last month.

The price is a dime higher than the national average which fell 6 cents over the past week to $3.21 per gallon.

The national price is 12.8 cents cheaper per gallon compared to a year ago.
