Adams scores career-best 26, leads St. Bonaventure to 80-70 comeback win over Ohio

ATHENS, Ohio — Jaylen Adams scored a career-high 26 points, including 12 of 15 free throws, Marcus Posley scored 20, and St. Bonaventure rallied to beat Ohio 80-70 on Saturday for its fifth straight win.

Youssou Ndoye grabbed 12 rebounds and had three blocked shots for the Bonnies, who are starting at 5-1 for the second season in a row. Posley made 4 of 8 3-pointers and St. Bonaventure shot 22 of 28 from the free throw line.

Maurice Daly Ndour and Javarez Willis each scored 16 for the Bobcats (2-3), Antonio Campbell added 14 with 14 rebounds, and Ryan Taylor scored 11.

There were 12 lead changes and six ties before Taylor put Ohio up 37-35 with a layup and the Bobcats led 37-36 at halftime.

The Bonnies took a 45-44 lead on a jumper by Adams in the second half, then Adams scored 11 straight points and the Bonnies pulled ahead 61-53 with 8:33 to play.
