MYRTLE BEACH, South Carolina — Half a dozen candidates seeking the Republican presidential nomination are in South Carolina this weekend meeting with conservative grassroots leaders and voters.

The South Carolina Tea Party Coalition Convention begins Saturday at the Springmaid Beach Resort in Myrtle Beach.

Candidates scheduled to participate in the three-day event include businessman , Texas Sen. , retired neurosurgeon , former Arkansas Gov. , businesswoman and former Pennsylvania Sen. .

U.S. Rep. and South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson are also listed as participating.
