BISMARCK, North Dakota — A Williston resident has claimed a Powerball prize worth $1 million.

The North Dakota Lottery says the winner drew the ticket on Saturday and claimed his prize Wednesday in Bismarck. The winner has elected to remain anonymous.

The Lottery says the winner did not know the ticket was worth a million until Monday morning. He told Lottery officials that he has no immediate plans for the money but is thinking about retirement and "maybe a few new toys."

The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday is estimated at $317 million.
