Driver dies in early morning Anchorage crash; car leaves street, strikes tree, rams house

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — A driver is dead after an early morning car crash in Anchorage.

KTUU-TV (http://bit.ly/1w0d9IH) reports a driver struck a home in the 1900 block of Lake Otis Parkway.

The crash was reported just after 3 a.m.

Police say a four-door sedan left the street, struck a tree and drove into and destroyed a corner of the home.

No one in the home was injured.

Police say the driver was declared dead at the scene. The driver was not immediately identified.
