THERMOPOLIS, Wyo. — The Wyoming Stock Growers Agricultural Land Trust has announced a new conservation easement near Thermopolis in Hot Springs County.
The Mishurda Mountain Ranches donated nearly 8,000 acres to the Stock Growers Land Trust.
It will ensure that the ranchland situated between Klondike Peak and Guffy Peak remain in agriculture and protected from future exurban development.
Located on the headwaters of Mini-Springs and Kirby Creek, the easement will also support and enhance a multi-year effort by regional landowners and various agencies to restore the Kirby Creek Watershed.
