Man missing for 3 months on assault charges arrested in Winooski

WINOOSKI, Vermont — U.S. marshals have arrested a man in Vermont missing for nearly three months on multiple assault and drug charges, including one involving a weapon.

Police said 42-year-old Travis Preston Heath of Colchester was arrested on Monday night in Winooski.

Heath had been a fugitive since Aug. 8 and was to be held without bail.

Police said Heath has a criminal history, including a federal conviction for using a firearm in relation to a drug-trafficking crime and possession with intent to distribute heroin.

It was not immediately known if he had a lawyer.
