Priest River man crashes into ditch and dies on scene, was not wearing seatbelt

PRIEST RIVER, Idaho — A Priest River man died after his car crashed into a ditch on a rural Idaho highway.

Idaho State Police says Charles Burke of Priest River was traveling north on State Highway 57 on Friday evening when he left the roadway and crashed. He was ejected from his Ford Explorer. Burke, 58, died on the scene.

Police say Burke was not wearing a seatbelt.

Investigators have not said what caused the crash.
