PORTLAND, Oregon — Authorities closed much of Interstate 84 in Eastern Oregon on Tuesday morning as trucks jack-knifed in the packed snow on the Eastern Oregon grade known as Cabbage Hill and backed up traffic in the region.
Westbound lanes of the freeway were closed at one time between Pendleton and Ontario and the eastbound lanes were closed between Pendleton and La Grande. All the lanes were reopened by mid-afternoon.
