David Pastrnak, the Bruins' top draft pick in June coming back from injury, played his first NHL preseason game and assisted on Paille's third-period goal.

Kyle Okposo scored for the Islanders (4-2-1) in their preseason finale.

Second-year Islanders forward Brock Nelson missed the second half of the second period after a hit from Kevan Miller. Miller received a boarding major and game misconduct, and Okposo scored during the ensuing power play.
