Former Woodland Park mayor denies inappropriately touching 17-year-old boy in hot tub

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado — The former mayor of Woodland Park has denied inappropriately touching a 17-year-old boy in a hot tub at his home.

The Colorado Springs Gazette reports ( ) David Turley pleaded not guilty Monday to charges including sex assault on a child by one in a position of trust. His trial is scheduled to begin Feb. 24.

Prosecutors say Turley, who was arrested in May, also repeatedly photographed the boy and kept the photos on a laptop at his home. He has maintained his innocence but resigned shortly after a recall effort was launched against him in July.

Woodland Park is about 20 miles northwest of Colorado Springs.
