3 people killed when car hits tree on Route 82 in southeastern Connecticut

BOZRAH, Connecticut — State police say three people have been killed in a one-car crash in southeastern Connecticut.

Troopers say the car hit a tree on Route 82 in Bozrah near the Norwich line at about 1 a.m. Thursday. All three people in the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities haven't released the victims' names.

Route 82 is closed while police investigate.

No other details have been released.
