RICHMOND, Virginia — The Virginia Lottery says someone has won a $2 million Powerball prize.

The lottery says in a news release that a ticket sold in Palmyra for Wednesday night's drawing matched five numbers but missed the Powerball. The ticket purchaser spent another $1 for Power Play, which doubled the $1 million prize.

The holder of the ticket has 180 days from the drawing date to claim the prize.

The winning numbers were 8-12-15-35-50 and the Powerball number was 32.

E.W. Thomas, Inc., the store that sold the ticket, will receive a $10,000 bonus.
